Among other characteristics, Donald Trump has been accused of racism, sexism, and religionism. The current President of the United States has made racist comments against members of congress. In a tweet, President Trump tweeted that many black and brown members of congress are “from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe” and that they should “go back” to those countries. These tweets were aimed at Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib. He has attempted to ban Muslims from the country and bars children in cages. One of the main instances of disregard was when he quit the UN human rights council. He is blatantly stating that he does not care about the humanity of any situation.

“Make America Great Again,” but at what cost?

Here are some of the most alarming policies by Trump.

Trump has upped the amount of violence carried out in Somalia, the Middle East and in the US.  Over 36 drone strikes or “special operations” raids were endorsed by Trump in 45 days in office, his first 45 days. This resulted in over 2,000 people annihilated by drone strikes.

Donald Trump has waged a war, socially, legally, and politically. Just a week into his leadership, Trump halted the entire country’s refugee program for 120 days! He ensured an infinite ban on Syrian refugees. Trump has a zero-tolerance policy for illegal immigrants, 2000 children were separated from their parents and held alone, sometimes behind chain-link fences. Under the harsh care of the federal government. In Texas 3 “Tender age” centres were set up for detained toddlers and infants. Wails of “Mama and Papa” were heard from the radio, from a customs and border protection detention centre. The president’s first mention of the order to separate children from their parents was a twitter post calling it “Horrible” even though he authorized it.

Racism and religious discrimination. President Trump was very quick to ban anyone seeking asylum in the US, arriving from seven primarily Muslim countries. While the administrative command did not directly suggest a Muslim ban, the blunt religious discrimination was explicitly forward. Especially acknowledging the President’s clear command for a ‘total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States’.

It selects travellers from Syria, Iran, Libya, Yemen, and Somalia. It also includes an adequate amount of restrictions against  Venezuela and North Korea. This offensive plan is a disaster from all aspects. Not just those who want to travel, work, or study in the States, but also for those seeking asylum in the US from harmful violence.

Under Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “No one shall be held in slavery or servitude.” Which is what President Trump is violating by detaining innocent toddlers, children, and adults.

Under Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” Which is another violation. Children are being kept in cages. Which is definitely inhumane. The detention centre is called “Ursula” but immigrants are known to call it “La Perrera” which is Spanish for Dog Cage. “Former First Lady Laura Bush has compared it to the internment camps used for Japanese-Americans during World War Two. A Democratic congressman who visited the site said it was “nothing short of a prison”.” says https://www.bbc.com

Under Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.” Trump, by halting the country’s refugee program violates the right to housing.

In conclusion, Trump has violated many human rights. Such as confinement, inhumane living conditions, right to housing. He has authorized many inhumane commands throughout the administration to “Make America Completely Unjust.”

Furthermore, “The People” should seriously reconsider the votes for the 2020 elections and very thoroughly put some thought into the future of America: Land of the Free.”
