Over the past few months, Trump has been accused of doing many wrong things in order to keep his presidency this election. Some people also think he’s trying to take a potential opponent of the 2020 elections down – Joe Biden. The final vote went in Trump’s favour. He has not been impeached though many people feel he should be. Let’s take a look at it.
So what brought these accusations on? Trump has been accused of many crimes, such as pressuring Ukraine into finding information that will damage his Democratic opponent–Joe Biden. The information that Trump is requesting was also some that would hurt Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son. This is considered an abuse of presidential power, according to democrats. They claim that Trump is using the office for political gain and harming national security.
An unnamed source expressed their concern regarding the phone call between Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine in July of last year. This phone call was Trump urging Zelensky to find the discredited allegations against Joe and his son. This piece of evidence was found through a rough transcript of the call. Trump had blocked the release of millions of dollars in the US military aid to Ukraine, according to BBC. Apparently, the release of this money was all conditional on the investigation of Joe Biden. However, the White House is denying this claim.
What is Trump’s defense? According to Trump, the Ukraine president didn’t feel any pressure and the country was unaware the military aid was held back, however, the military aid was at the end given. And of course, the final vote went in Trump’s favor. He has not been impeached though many people feel he should be.
